About Us
The Education Funding Consultants Association provides hundreds of informational college funding seminars every year for parents of college-bound students. Due to the nature of information and the format(s) that we have developed, our program gains popularity every year!
Who We Are:

We are a non-profit, federal tax-exempt 501 (c) 3, national organization of educational & financial professionals specializing in college planning & funding. Our purpose is to help parents and students sort through myriad of decisions that lay ahead, decisions that can and will influence a student's future. We provide information on how and why to select colleges as it relates to costs and share insight on how to make paying for college a financial non-event---whether the family qualifies for financial aid or not!

Parents and teachers work painstakingly throughout the years preparing students for a successful college experience. We want to make sure that finances do not stand in the way of getting the college education they have worked so hard to achieve.

Additionally, we have worked with Universities to provide a comprehensive workshop that is designed exclusively for college bound families.
What We Do:

The EFCA college funding seminar; "Why Paying for College could be the Best Thing to Happen to You", with the assistance of our sponsors, remains free of charge to all of our participating High Schools.

This College Planning and Funding Seminar Explains:
  • The importance of financial aid forms (FAFSA & CSS Profile) and what they mean to families.
  • The admission and enrollment process.
  • A "to do" list for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students and what they can do to stand out in the eyes of colleges and universities.
  • A step-by-step explanation of the financial aid process.
  • The correct steps to take if you have lost employment or have divorced.
  • How new tax laws affect your family and chances of aid. (Hope Credit, Lifetime Learning Credit, etc)
  • How a PRIVATE SCHOOL can cost less than a STATE SCHOOL.
  • Different loans, an explanation of their differences. (Stafford, Perkins, Plus loans, etc)
  • Though college is expensive, everyone can afford to go!
